Medical Assistant

Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance forms
- Take patient vital signs, record medical histories, and update patient information in electronic health records
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Provide patient education on various health topics and assist with discharge instructions

-Medical Assistant will assist RNs in surgery center with turning over the bays (cleaning/restocking), laundry, instrument sterilization.

- Medical Assistant will serve and protect the physician or health care provider practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards

Medical Assistant Experience:
- Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Experience working in a orphopidic medical office or clinic setting preferred
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
